with them. When Corvil first emerged onto the
hi-tech stage, they wanted their customers
to focus on how the company’s ‘bandwidth
optimisation software’ could save them time,
money and stress – in simple terms, make the
life of the average IT specialist a brighter and
happier one. These were the messages that
shaped the warm, glowing visual language we
gave Corvil in its infancy.
The world of high-frequency financial
trading is anything but warm. Microseconds
mean millions and transparency — knowing
you’re getting information and executing
trades faster than the competition does
— is paramount. Corvil asked us to help
them carve a niche out of this harsh new
environment by developing a language, both
verbal and visual, for communicating with the
average Type-A stress junkie that is a highfrequency
trader. We think we succeeded in
marrying the comfort of the identity with a
sharper-edged sense of humor and wit.
