Who's in the Box?

Rick LeVert is a graduate of the State University of New York and has Masters degrees from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the National College of Art & Design in Dublin. He has been a visiting lecturer at Dublin City University, NCAD and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Rick has published articles on the arts and design in Ireland, Great Britain, Germany and the US. He writes on culture, travel and food for the Irish Times, Irish Independent, Food & Wine, and other publications. Beyond writing and design, his interests include sailing and cycling.

Libby Carton was educated in Visual Communications at the National College of Art & Design (NCAD) in Dublin. She worked in New York (with Pentagram) and Berlin (with MetaDesign and WAF Werbegesellschaft) before returning to Ireland to practice in 1998. She has been a visiting lecturer at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology, NCAD and Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and has been a member of the jury for numerous national design awards. Libby has been actively involved with the Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) since 1998 and served as its elected President in 2002. She spends much of her free time pursuing her interest in horses and gardening.

Bred and buttered in Belfast, Aidan Maguire studied design in Blackpool. Moving from one famous beach resort to another, in August 2007 he joined us by the sea in Donegal. Aidan's culinary contributions at lunchtimes are the stuff of legend but his greatest interest is in the accompanying table conversation whenever it turns to film.
