An Grianán Turns 10

People living in a metropolitan area may find it hard to fathom just how big an impact a single theatre can have on the cultural life of a rural community. For 10 years now, An Grianán has immeasurably enriched the lives of people in the Northwest of Ireland.

We congratulate Patricia McBride, Daithi Ramsay, and the rest of the staff on their anniversary season and thank them for allowing us to be a part of their success. It was an honour to design the posters for their masterful co-production with Belfast’s Lyric Theatre of Brian Friel’s ‘The Home Place’.

By the way, anyone recognise the home that played such a central part in the design of those posters and billboards? That is none other than Rathmullan House, the lush trees and landscaping one normally finds around it removed by the magic of photoshop.
