Good Food on the Go

Traditional, high-quality fish & chip shops notwithstanding, good fast food has never been one of the highpoints of the Irish culinary landscape. And even those good chippers are pretty thin on the ground these days. 

Imagine the sheer delight of all those hungry, wet souls at the 2010 Electric Picnic when instead of the tired burger and chip routine they walked away from Good Food, Road Food – the Rathmullan House food van – with crab linguine, leek and potato soup, poached salmon and potato salad ... early risers even got heartwarming bowls of organic porridge with Glenvar honey. No wonder Rathmullan House left the festival with the 'Picknickers' award for the best food. Congratulations to the Wheelers and all the crew in the van.
